A Conversation with Marian Boswell Tillingham Landscape Architect & Garden Designer

We are delighted to invite you to a conversation with Marian Boswell Tillingham Landscape Architect & Garden Designer.
A leading landscape Architect, Marian is best known for her thoughtful and regenerative approach to land design and to life. From rewiggling rivers and flood plain restoration to historic estate masterplans and soulful gardens, to talking about how we can live in harmony with all that is beyond the everyday; she weaves her deep respect for our ecology, history and our future into her work, from the soil, to the gut, to the spirit.
Marian writes and speaks on regenerative design and was a lecturer in Historic Garden Conservation. A Fellow of the Landscape Institute, her projects invest in the land for the very long term. Kindness is a deeply embedded ethos. Marian works with the way the land can heal and connect us on all levels. Her 2019 TedX talk was on how our gardens can care for us and the earth, her book Sustainable Garden was shortlisted for Garden Book of the Year.
Tonight we will be celebrating the new book – The Kindest Garden which will be available to buy on the night and signed copies available.
Marian has won many awards but is most interested in the long term legacy of her work. As well as being an author and sustainability champion, she has a Masters in landscape architecture from Greenwich, in Modern Languages from Oxford and is an agroecology coach and land energy healer. Her first career was management consultancy. She loves sunrises, beavers, wild swimming and remote ski touring.
