A.B. / P.P. + TILLINGHAM – Experimental screen-print workshop
Anthony Burrill is a worldwide recognised graphic artist, print-maker and designer renowned for his persuasive, up-beat style of communication. He studied Graphic Design at Leeds Polytechnic before completing his MA at the Royal College of Art. His work as an inspirational designer is beautifully simple; realised in print, moving image and interactive designs characterised by a direct mode of statement-making. Past exhibitions at Tate Modern, the V&A and the Barbican demonstrate the pedigree of the artist’s work.
- In this workshop Six graphic elements will be used to make your final designs
- There will be three silk-screens each with two graphic elements
- Each graphic element will be approximately 10 x 10 cm
- We’ll have lots of A4 sheets of paper of different colours, textures and weights to print on to
- We’ll use the graphic elements to print on to the paper in different positions, overlaying shapes and colours to build up a final design
- The workshop will be a mixture of trial and error combined with happy accidents to produce graphic prints that are both fun and engaging
- The finishing touch will be the addition of our credit line using a specially made rubber stamp
